"The perfect race" - Rob
We've been blown away by the numerous positive and praiseworthy emails and messages we've received following our first event on 22nd April 2023. We had a fabulous day with some amazing performances and so we're going again in 2024! We hope you'll join us for South Yorkshire's longest ultra distance trail race!

We're delighted with our start/finish event centre! Start on the trail, finish off the trail with hot showers, hot food and hot & cold drinks.
A quality medal for all finishers...in steel of course!
We have 5 feed stations in village halls with toilets with only 1 in an event shelter. Food and drinks at every feed station with hot choices at 20 miles, 30 miles and 50 miles.
We will transport one bag per entrant to the half way feed station to allow for a change of clothes, which will then be returned to the finish.
All participants will be provided with chip timing.
In addition to maps, route descriptions will be provided to all participants. The route is also extensively waymarked as it follows much of the Sheffield Country Walk.
Safety is our priority and we've teamed up with an industry leading running event specialist to provide mobile first aid support for the duration of the event.

With 3901ft of ascent, this is a challenging 30 mile route through the Peak District, taking public footpaths and trails to the finish.
Our Steel City 60 starts and finishes at St Georges Park sports facility, so entrants have the same facilities which include free car parking, changing rooms and hot showers, food and drinks.
We'd like to arrange a coach for entrants but this will be subject to numbers. If we get enough entrants to make the extra cost of a coach work (ie £10 per person), we'll make arrangements. Otherwise, we'll help with car sharing, public transport or shared taxi's.
These will be at Moscar and Worrall Community Centre, the latter having toilet facilities.
